Leica data cable
Posted by sergeant-schultz on August 6, 2022 at 11:36 amGood morning-
I’m looking for the pin-outs for the DB-9 end of a Leica data cable (TCRP1203) I think it’s 3,4 RX, TX; 5 ground, 9 positive but I’d like confirmation.
Thanks!

Like written above by @hpalmer in TPS1200 Technical Reference Manual “Pin Assignments and Sockets“

You just need to connect RX, TX and GND to make data connection. Positive+ is not necessary.

Just if you really need “PWR_IN Power input” for your station connect LEMO Pin 1 to DB-9 Pin 9. Other Pins wrong connected might not be a big problem. But “PWR_IN Power input” wrong connected might destroy your station. Also i don??t know any external Leica Batteries with DB-9 connectors.
I once destroyed my Laptops DB-9 connector when accidentally putting 12V from battery into the Laptop because of wrong connected wires ???.
@mike1202 Thank-you!
