Most of us that fit in the BOSS category have asked similar stupid questions far too many times.
Did you find the bar in the last place you looked?
What point number represents the shot next to the fence and ten feet from the old well?
Who forgot to charge the batteries?
Anyone got a dime on them?
He wasn’t my boss, but once a traffic cop asked me what I felt was a stupid question…“do you know how fast you were going?”
I think law enforcement officers probably attend seminars to learn questions to ask that usually possess ‘self-incriminating’ answers. I told him I was going two miles-an-hour below the posted speed limit, which was obviously a lie. I was probably doing close to eighty in a forty-five mph area.
Our eyes fixed on the other’s in a moment eerily similar to a noon showdown out of a spaghetti western, complete with a hawk shriek….
Moral of the story is a smartass answer to a dumb question won’t get you out of a two hundred dollar speeding ticket. 😏
