Most, if not all 32 bit programs will run fine on a 64 bit machine; the problem is most likely to be that some older 32 bit software uses a 16bit installer.

I’m not sure I’d agree with anyone still using Windows XP, but I hung on to 7 until my dad came to visit and upgraded me to 10 without really asking. All of my fears turned out to be wrong and I learned I am just as well off with 10. There’s lots of reasons new stuff comes out, but it’s mainly because it’s better than the old….Not always though, but lots of times…..Like TBC over TGO, and cable internet over dial up service (or satalite, if you’re far from cables)

You got me thinking which is truly dangerous…
I just heard Ray Hintz speak all about coordinate systems and Fortran.
I have a good friend programming for the banking industry, in Fortran.
We have so many legacy systems in place. We should realize that most of these are still applicable.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I have an old Intel (R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @2.8 GHz, 8 Gb Ram, Dell Precision 64 bit system with 3 Hard drives. In its day, it was one of the better systems. I think I will update to Windows 10 tonight and see how it goes.
Does global mapper do ortho rectification?
My understanding is that GM will take a picture file that has been stiched together. GM has a program that will allow you to GEO rectify it for 3d and allow you to use in in other applications. I have shifted my interest towards DroneMapper. It allows you a 30 day trial just like GM.
Global mapper will georeference with Point to point, but not a rectification from camera information. (Position, focal length, direction) There are tools for blending and feathering along with tools for draping over 3d.
I am in the process of georeferencing to the 1938 usgs aerials with the goal of making a large blended image to tile up.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Might take a look at Open Drone Map and/or VisualSFM.

I have some old programs like TDS DXM (Foresight?), Topcon Tools, and tons of older programs I still use that won’t work. I am thinking about keeping it beside the new computer and having both working. Doe the new windows 10 allow old software to work?
Dan,
I use TDS Foresight DXM, Topcon Tools, and a few other programs on Windows 10 without issue. I know some other guys on the forum have had an issue with printer/plotter drivers with Windows 10, but all in all, it as been a fairly painless transition for me.

Does anyone have Terramodel locks for sale? Do you have any Foresight or Foresight DXM locks you’d be willing to part with? Thanks.
