Hypothetically what happens when GPS base station height is off at base and not rover

Changing the base HI 1 foot and recomputing a point.
It’s easy to do in TBS, there is no change in the Lat Long. Of course, then height shifts 1 foot, always hit undo after.
Changing the base HI 50 feet and recomputing a point.
There is a change in the Lat, Long of about .005′.
Hope this helps
@mightymoe I don??t have my eye balls on so I can??t see exactly what you have here. I know where I am 1? of latitude is about 100 ft and 1? second long is about 80 ish feet. So i am assuming that the 5 is decimals of a second so way far meaning not much change etc. great to see folks engage. Love this site. It has been a long day. Sold a trailer full of hay this morning. Then fixing fence and getting ready for winter. Wife and kids gone for a weekend and I am about to watch reruns of Audie Murphy until the sun comes up.

It’s .005 feet. Looking at the Lat, Long, in DMS format will tell you the difference in feet. As you say, 0.1″ in Lat =10 feet more or less. 0.00005″=0.005 feet.
In other words, it doesn’t make any difference to the horizontal location if the base HI is slightly off, even if it’s grossly off.
There are some error traps in Trimble that won’t allow you to imput a large HI, but in the file I did the calcs it allowed it.
Try some yourself, keep the undo button close.
