How do you relax and take your mind away from work?

My problem is that even when off work my brain keeps going back to it no matter what I try. Haven’t had a real vacation in years. So I finally decided to retire. Now all I have to do is make it until the end of the year!
@gary_g This really is the only way.
@dougie Well I’ve seen pictures on here that were the results of a bad day
@flga-2-2 Good eye. I was with a guide out of Panama City Beach up in the west bay.
@fairleywell I take no responsibility for the abuse your wallet is about to receive.
@northernsurveyor Looks like you guys lucked out on the weather. Kind of a crap shoot this time of year in the Sound.
WillyI have a music room. Add some musical friends and viola!
Historic Boundaries and Conservation Efforts@dougie Even tough he appeared to be pretty well beat up, he still had a smile. Had a guy here that retired about a year after I came on board – he could be miserable, particularly after having to deal with the in-house engineers, when I run into him, and most others say this too, that smile started when he walked out the door and has never left his face.
I try to keep a smile on my face, as much as I can. I don’t think it left my face from Friday morning to Monday afternoon…
I hope everyone has a great day; I know I will!Went to the dentist today. Just realized no one put down tooth extractions, bridges crowns, fillings, root canals.
Seems like these would take your mind off surveying
@rj-schneider Quite the apt comparison to a root canal, reentering the fray on returning after finding peace and serenity on a couple weeks of wilderness adventure, but then I suppose that’s why bourbon and novocaine are so popular. While I deeply love the surveying profession, the roses are not without thorns.

There’s that. Currently living thin chicken soup after an extraction. Would it be too much to ask for a recipe card for those thorns ?
I go hunting, fishing or just enjoy the scenery on a beautiful fall day.
