If I recall correctly, Mr. Smyth had been dealing with an illness.
D.G. (Greg) Smyth 1937-2016
TSPS Affiliation: Life Member, Chapter 22
Registrations: Registered Professional Land Surveyor #2046 & Licensed State Land Surveyor
Mr. Smyth owned and operated D.G. Smyth & Co., Inc. in Uvalde, Texas. He served as a witness on boundary dispute cases and completed thousands of survey projects including large ranches, lake boundaries, river boundaries, excess acreage surveys for Deeds of Acquittance, vacancy surveys, cellular tower sites, subdivisions, well locations, pipelines, circular irrigation systems, road, bridges, lakes, topographic surveys, and control surveys.
I believe he was also a descendant of George Washington Smyth http://www.cemetery.state.tx.us/pub/user_form.asp?pers_id=70, a former Commissioner of the Texas General Land Office.
