Email from Trimble R10
I put my new R10 out on my pedestal earlier today to collect some data. I just got this email from it:
Receiver Temp is Too Low! The temp in degrees Celsius is: -11000000
Jan 31 2015, 22:02:52 UTC
System uptime in seconds: 29621I guess it means -11°C.
The R10 is really cool. I put an AT&T SIM card with static IP in it, but right now it is connected to my wifi network.
Here is a plot of today’s height:
The reference coordinate (and height) is referenced to NAD83 (2011), while the WAAS position is ITRF.
Here is the horizontal position difference:
You can plainly see the ±1 m difference between WAAS and NAD83 (2011).
I was using it last week as an RTK base over a cell link. If I forgot to change the reference point on a new setup, I could connect to it with my cell phone over the cell network and reconfigure it. Saved me a couple of trips back to the base (31 base locations) when I forgot to change the BASE ID.
I just went out to bring it in and it was frozen into the tribrach. But, my weather station says -4.6°C. So I guess the internal thermometer is a little screwy. I would think it would read too high rather than too low.
