We’ve sent items in for repair numerous times and a couple of times have gotten them back still broken or newly broken (something wrong that wasn’t before). After taking apart a repaired radio to see dry solder joints where a repair was made, now I just repair stuff myself. Also, I figured out in at least one case that Motorola didn’t (and never has) make replacement parts for a radio they repaired, which might explain why the repair didn’t really work right and didn’t last long. This is just my experience though.
