Communication
The following is from an actual email conversation I am having about a meeting I need to attend. The names have been changed to protect those lacking the ability to clearly communicate.
Attorney: To follow up on our conversation with the Conservation Commission it is my understanding their next public meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Please confirm the meeting will be held at the Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
Planner: Our next regular Planning Board meeting is on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 (the first Wednesday of the month) and 7:00 PM is when we typically meet.
Conservation: The Conservation Commission added you to their meeting agenda. Their meetings start at 6:00 PM here at the Town Hall not 7:00 PM.
Attorney: Give me a call to confirm that we may appear next week.
Me: I plan to attend the meeting at 6PM on January 23, 2024 (Wednesday) unless I hear otherwise. In the previous message either the date or the day is wrong.
Planner: You might be confused, because there’s a reference in this email chain to the Planning Board meeting that will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 7:00 PM. The Conservation Commission meeting is indeed January 23, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
Me: So, it’s Wednesday, not Tuesday. Am I right?
