@macheteman69 I passed on first attempt. But it wasn’t easy. It’s no Minnesota exam, but you gotta know your stuff. Good luck
Congrats!!!!
@stlsurveyor Thank you! I downloaded the study list you posted and collected all those items in a binder for notetaking. Are there any reference items other than those you listed you would recommend I should obtain a copy of?
It’s been three years since I took it. Check the Boards site and Society pages. Pay close attention to platting, controlling corners and be prepared to break down sections and solve problems quickly. Study study study
@stlsurveyor I PASSED! Thanks for the tips
Congratulations!!!
Before taking this exam, I was under a certain amount of stress to take it. The reason is, my company’s workload is primarily Colorado, and in recent weeks-months our Nevada workload was light. I felt the need to get the Colorado license to be able to adjust to a more normal workload, so when I passed the exam, a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. I was elated! Has anyone else ever felt that? Did you take a State specific exam while under duress?
@macheteman69 Congrats on passing the exam! Aren’t you registered in NV? I thought HB20-1326 eliminated the need for a state-specific exam. Am I missing something here?
@gene-kooper I am confused by the interpretations of this Act. The examination requirment for license by endorsement was replaced by “satisfies the requirements of the occupational credititial portability but the occupational credititial portability program requires passing the exam. (12-20-202.b.1.C)
My confusion is no different than yours. I looked at it right after it was passed, and wondered aloud how the timing was going to happen to make it work.
My old brain bone needs a refresh and I’ll get back to your question after the 4th.
@arctanx I am registered in NV. The test I took was for Colorado.
