Yeah, they pushed photo surveys for a while, the one I knew about ended up in court. The photo survey lost. Can’t imagine why. Good luck, that one was messy.

Maybe it’s the day it is… but somehow I thought Angel would have to flag this post for wandering into the political.

    Well, there’s political “a” and there’s political “b”.

Political  “a” you are wound up, and trrowing rocks at Trump/Biden. This is not allowed.

Political “b”, is you are reading a congressional act, about survey instructions, and photographic dependant quasi resurveys. And discussing honest survey issues.

Political “b” has its place in intellectual discussion, and really cannot be off limits.

I took his post a political “b”, with a bit of music, and a dash of salt.

Have a bit o salt, and peace with yourselves.

    Kindly offered, without any angst.

We work in PLSS states, based on Thomas Jefferson’s vision, of an orderly conveyance of title.

    Thanks

    Nate

There is a Record of Survey in Kern County, California that is based on EDM and Photogrammetric measurements.

Book 10 of Surveys, Page 24.  There are six sheets.  I attached the first sheet.

    Year: 1968

The rest of the sheets (RS 10-24 to 29) may be found here:

I remember visited my Dad at the office in Bakersfield.  We went across the hall where he showed me the “computer” which all I remember was about the size of a chest freezer.  Years later he told me they had used it to do a Record of Survey of a lot of sections using photogrammetry and an EDM.  That’s all I know but the R/S first sheet has more details.
