Carlson with ICAD Toolbars
I have been evaluating this software, so far I have found it to be superior to Civil3D in nearly every way. There is one thing, however, I have found annoying. Every time I start the software it shifts all of my toolbars that I have docked vertically downward. Has anyone else noticed this? Found a fix?

Have you saved the workspace after you configure your layout? Command line WORKSPACE or click the gear in the lower right corner of the screen.

Yes. It keeps the overall setup and arrangement, but still moves them downward when the program opens.

The old iCad would do that if the window was resized, or minimized. They would not go back to the exact spot they used to be. Try saving again with your window maximized if it is not already.

On a fresh boot of the computer you might try a right+click on the icon installed with the product and choose the Run As –> Administrator option. Provide the Admin password and proceed as normal. Set the toolbar(s) in the desired position(s) and exit from the application via File — Exit (not “Red X”) and save at least one DWG so that entries are committed to the Registry. After that, re-start the application normally and see if they’ve retained their position.

Thanks everyone. I tried all of that, it still moves the toolbars. There is a quick fix, though, I saved two profiles that are basically the same and toggle between them. If it’s set to one the other prompts the correct layout and vice/versa.
