AutoCad Civil 3D 2010
I spent part of this afternoon trying to familiarize myself with AutoCad Civil 3D 2010 today. I’ve got a subsidence monitoring project that I’ve been working on for about 2 years now so I have some good data and proven batch files that I’ve processed in AutoCad Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2008.
Well things actually went fairly well with my self-education adventure; I managed to find the routines I was looking for. I processed a batch file and got good results with the least squares routine but the coordinate values are shifted a bit from my previous Cad2008 calculations!
I discovered by examining the Cad 2010 least squares report that the report contains the correct values I expected. Next I use the pull down points menu in Cad 2010 and list all points and they come up with the incorrect values but when I use the “Toolspace” and look at the points under “survey” they are the correct values!
I am presently looking at a pallet that has two tabs: “point editor” and “Survey point editor”, one tabs values are different than the other the “Survey Points Editor” has the values I consider to be correct.
No doubt this is a “head space and timing” issue on my part but I really don’t like the idea that the same drawing can have different values for the same point even if it is a result of my monkeying around!
