Your good friend, Mr. Lee, probably laughed hysterically back in September when I made the following prediction:

College Football Smack!!

Just wait until October 20 when you will need to hand out crying towels to all the home crowd. On that date, K-State will put at least the third Big 12 defeat on WV for the season. Come west and play some real teams, young man. Geez, James Madison wasn't even a surveyor, let alone a football player.

As you can see, I was a tiny bit optimistic when asserting that today would be your third defeat in the Big 12, but, giving up an average of 53 points to the four Big 12 teams you have played suggests where your recruiting efforts need to focus in the future. You have managed to lose by 41 and 35 points while only managing 3 and 7 point victories.

That was quite a game for K-State. They just dominated on all sides of the ball, except for returns. A bit of work to do there but they have a solid offense and defense. The win over OU is looking more and more like a VERY quality win. WV has a young defense and when the offense can't click then they get in trouble very fast.

I can't believe how far off the receivers they played all night. That's coaching though in my opinion. They never pressed the receivers and game them free running room all night. But the Klein had a very impressive night both passing and running and their game plan worked to perfection.

You could see the frustration rise in WV as the game went along. They just got a solid whipping.

It's going to be tough though to move up any farther until some losses above but right now they are 'in my opinion' worthy of facing any of the other top five teams.

Yeah our young D-backs aren't playing well at all. They have stayed 7-10 yds off of the receivers all season and yes, that is coaching. Ol' Joe DeForest (former Okie St coach) is in trouble. People are already calling for him to be fired.

I don't know what's going on with our offense. Our receivers aren't getting open. Even when Geno gets them the ball, they can't catch it. I haven't watched that happen the previous 3 years these guys have played together. I don't know what it is.

They better pull it together quick or they won't even end up bowl eligible. Depressing, especially when we went into this season with such high expectations.

LOL,
Didn't you INVITE them to join the Big 12 plus and minus? Why would the big 12 do that,I wonder.
I knew you were losing A&M and Mizzou, so you decided to invite teams from the lowly Big East that you could cream to replace them.
That's Grrreeeeaaaaaaaaat!
anyway, Good luck to your team. They are looking good!
I would like to see team get a nice bowl appearance and even a BCS Championship game if they run the season undefeated.

I didn't see a lot of zip on Smith's passes. Seemed to me he was throwing up some rainbows. To receivers who were standing still or coming back to the ball, largely.

You were almost right, Texas had them beat but decided to throw up their skirts at the end of the game.

I hope Kansas State goes undefeated, but there is still a lot of football left to be played and then the dreaded Big 12 Championship game probably against the Sooners.

I am a Mountaineers fan, but I will be the first to say that it is obvious that we are playing in a much better conference.

I figured our first three years will go this way. Now that we are in a better conference we will have more recruiting power - but we have to play out the Big East recruits before we will get any better. Geno is awesome, but it takes a whole team.

I don't mind losing for a few years, if after that we are finally taken seriously as a program, because let's face it - the Big East sucks, and I'm glad that we're out of it. Now it's time to play with the big boys.

Ya know, this close to Halloween I'm not sure I'd risk getting my a$$ whooped by a 6'3" elderly ghost in a hounds-tooth hat. 😉

The old fart in the hounds-tooth hat is the same guy I was told insisted that everyone kiss his ring...............that he carried in his back pocket.

What Big 12 CXhampionship game? They only have 10 teams and can't have one.
