This 32" rattlesnake was a first for me in Western Oregon.
that is a pretty calm snake to just let you hold him by the tail like that and pose for photos.
Needs it's head removed before holding it like that. First thing I do is hold them down firmly with my feet and cut the head off, no matter how dead I think it is.
jud
I think the same goes for attorneys?

Put it on the grill before the insects and crows attack you!
Once I was a party chief and live 6'plus rattle snake was in the road, I stopped and we got out, the snake had a big lump in the middle. My i-man JK cut its head off and then took a bowie knife and inspected what was on in his belly, it was a very large rat with his head partially digested but his remainder in tact.
Where in Western Oregon???
I'd HATE to have to start looking out for rattle snakes!!! I've never seen or heard of any over here...
Where in Western Oregon???
East of Lebanon. I have heard of other people finding them on the West side, but this was my first. Not only bees and poinson oak, but now snakes. What's next????
