I used to grunt worms as a boy for fishing.?ÿ A wooden stake and an ax and I was ready for a day on the pond, creek or river.
The woods where they were working looks like prime diamondback territory too.

As a boy I used to water a spot in the lawn real good, then drive in a couple of straightened wire coat hangers about 4 ft apart & hook 'em up to 120v AC.?ÿ After a few minutes, there'd be enough crawlers for a days fishing.?ÿ You'd want to disconnect the juice before grabbin' onto them, though.?ÿ For some reason they didn't live very long.....
Another video offered after this one had a long interview and demonstration with the couple. He said they don't kill rattlers, just chase them away. They kill other poisonous ones that are more aggressive.

We would flip a half-dried cow pie out of the way, take one big scoop with a long-handled shovel to get the biggest, juiciest ones.?ÿ Normally, just a few cow pies and we would have plenty for our fishing adventure.
