Odds are growing that I won't be in tomorrow...or the rest of the week 😉 😛

Anybody else?

I'll be here tomorrow getting one job out, then I'm gone. After that, I'll be on my way to Austin for the A&M vs. Texas showdown on Thanksgiving evening.

Depends on the rain here in North Texas.

No rain, work tomorrow and Friday (off Thursday).

Forecast is at 30% to 40% for tomorrow and Thursday.

Got three types of turkey this year, regular roasted with dressing, smoked, and cajun. Going to try to eat myself into a coma by game time (Dallas vs. New Orleans) just in case things go south for the 'Boys, I can slip right to sleep.

I will work tomorrow as usual, but will not on Thursday or Friday as they are both holidays.
Friday is Iron Bowl Day, an unofficial state holiday in Alabama. I will be in attendance for the festivities.;-)

Taking the wife to take a test tomorrow morning, and if it's not raining, I will be finishing up setting corners on a small three lot minor subdivision in the afternoon. Hopefully meet with a contractor about an upcoming construction job that starts in about a week and a half, and then do some research for two jobs that I will start Friday.

Weather forecast is for 70% chance of rain tomorrow and 80% Thursday, with temps falling into the lower 30's, right around freezing.

Very Thankful to be keeping my head above water.

I'll be off Thursday.

yep doing what I was s'posed to be doing today, instead of thawing out the flippin' trailer-
got some recon to do for next week- plus checking some control that the boys processed while I was hunting. Be working Friday, too. Finish a Certificate of Survey and get it sent off to the examining land surveyor in Sanders County.

Also need to gather some data for a request from a private surveyor working against our R/W on a new construction job in Lake County.

Saving up Vacation for around Christmas for when the kids are home.

Busy as can be. What is it about a holiday that brings in the work? Never fails. Not complaining, mind you. Looks like a good Christmas!

Our annual Surveyors deer hunt is today.

We'll be running and gunning, pushing pieces of cover to each other. We'll only be four guys so we keep the pushes small and quick.

A years worth of "That looks like a good drive". Well, today's the day.

Have fun and Happy Thanksgiving.

Rick

Firing up the big wood pit right now.

Turkey, ham and brisket. The brisket is for today.

Both my boys and their girlfriends have arrived and we will be hanging out for a few days.

Workload is very heavy right now, so I will probably get back to work on Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Randy

Last friday was my [msg=32496]day off without pay.[/msg] I had previously requested vacation for monday thru wed of this week with thu and fri being holiday. So my "punishment" amounted to a nice little 10 day fall vacation. I am only half way in and am already getting cabin fever. I stopped in yesterday at the field office just because. Normally, in a past life, any time off more than 1 day resulted in full blown panic with the phone blowing up. Has not rang once, and everyone was kind of surprised to see me yesterday. Another example of how great our group is.

If the cold weather arrives as expected, I may swing down to Talpa one day this weekend for a day hunt, then back to the grind come Monday.

Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving all.

Had a great day, Rankin, two doe and lots of fun.

This little guy came through this morning. I was intending to fill my management permit, the swept back spikes were hidden by his ears. He'll fit in the freezer fine, though. I saw him tumble about forty yards out, still thinking I had a good doe. After an hour and a half of waiting for the big ten that's running that ridge, I went to collect my "doe". Bonus!!

Sorry for the poor cell phone pic.

Rick
