I hope my question is a simple one - but I'm stumped!

Ever since I downloaded Internet Explorer 11, I need to input my password repeatedly. I even tell various applications to "save" my password to no avail.

I've touched base with my IP provider and they walked through various settings with me. But, I'm still not on top of it - meaning I need to input passwords many times during the day.

Probably the first question to be answered is whether my problems are an issue with my IP provider or whether the problem can be isolated to the Internet Explorer program.

I've been told it is "impossible" to uninstall Internet Explorer 11. In the meantime, I'm using Chrome more and more.

Thanks for your suggestions.

If the problems you're experiencing have to do with password "caching" within IE 11, it comes "out of the box", with some security stuff pretty buttoned down. Check out some settings first:

Click the "gear" in the upper right hand corner of the window.
Click "internet options".
Click "Content".
Click "Settings" in the "AutoComplete" section.
Select "Use AutoComplete for..."User names and passwords on forms", if it's not checked already, and "Ask me before saving passwords", if you'd like it to.

Intuitive, eh? That's why I hate using IE, lol.

The first thing to check is whether you have it set to allow cookies. That's how sites know you're still logged in when you return.

I need more info: Is this an issue with logging into websites, or anything within Windows 7 altogether?

I would stick with Chrome or Firefox altogether.

I have the same problem with I.E. 7, but it started with I.E. 9. Just all of a sudden my computers started doing this. Even in my e-mail boxes on Win 7, it used to be when I would go to any box to see what I needed to clean out, it would stay in that particular area until I clicked to my Inbox or any of the others, but for quite sometime when I go to any of the others, Trash, Sent Messages, Junk, etc. to see what is there, read one and click the back arrow, it take me back to the Inbox. I've checked my e-mail settings and the correct settings boxes are checked. Apparently this is some kind of internal thing with Win 7.

I had a similar problem last month with the 11 upgrade. I went to chrome.
Some sites would not let me enter because 11 told me that I did not have "cookies" set correctly. This was not true.
I use 11 this morning to acces a site that I use occasionally,

Thanks to all for your help and suggestions - the best one was "use Chrome."

Tongue in check of course!
