I peered out upon the back porch after receiving some very bad news by mail. I saw a jewel case...empty. I decided to investigate. That's when reality hit me. My dog has the same taste in music that I have. He had gone into a shed where I have stored all my music collections....pulled down a box full of CD's and....began to eat. The deceased are:
Tchaikovsky (from a 10 CD box collection)
The Little River Band Greatest Hits
Frank Sinatra Gold
Jimmy Buffet (Somewhere over China)
Tim Mcgraw
Boom Town Rats

and SRV (Live at Carnegie Hall)

Should it be in the back yard somewhere? Maybe the neighbors yard. SPCA? or a quaint little spot under the house.

He is at my feet right now with an innocent look on his face unknowing his only best friend right now is my wife.

Yikes. Cd's must taste awful!! Why would he want to eat CDs? Crazy doggy!! :dog:

If I knew how to burn CDs, I'd burn the first two for ya since I own them too. LRB and Frankie. :music:

Relax, if you know where to look, you can easily find replacements.

You shouldn't let your dog eat garbage like that. Table scraps would keep him far healthier.

Hope you have those burnt to mp3 or other on your computer

Dogs (pets) are strange that way, being evil, jealous and needy and deflating that bubble you enjoy when they are think they are neglected.

Could be worse. At least you don't have to bail him out....

I want to know how he managed to open the jewel cases, lacking opposable thumbs and all. He might be a very valuable dog...

Dogs law:

  • 1- If I like it, it’s mine.
  • 2- If it’s in my mouth, it’s mine.
  • 3- If I can take it from you, it’s mine.
  • 4- If I had it a little while ago, it’s mine.
  • 5- If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
  • 6- If I’m chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
  • 7- If it just looks like mine, it’s mine.
  • 8- If I saw it first, it’s mine.
  • 9- If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
  • 10- If I decide I don’t want it anymore, but then want it back it becomes mine again.
  • 11- If its broken its yours.

Your humor doesn't escape me......but: how did the dog get the shed open? How high were these extremely valuable cds? Why were your prized possessions in the shed anyway?

I mean you don't have to answer, as the questions are rhetorical, but I think many of us tend to blame anyone or anything but ourselves for our misgivings.

Well, gotta go.
Dang it....Now who stole my car keys anyway?

LOL @ Radar and Radu

I opted for the "Let's not do my idea right now...and think" method. I believe this to be the best method for the circumstances. Of course the little ingrate stared at me with all the innocence while I delivered his dinner. The Jimmy Buffet was ok. But SRV and LRB? Dang.
