Whats the time out period when someone is posting?

As far as I know, there isn't one. Why? Did you have trouble?

Well...I was dawdling on posting and got a 'time out' message and the post I was creating just vanished, fortunately I had done a 'select all' and had the post being worked on copied into notepad.

I would guess it's more of a server timeout than a software timeout, so there may be little I can do about that.
