Sorry, I'm new to the site. I see there are non-land-surveying things too. I just did what you are about to do. Pump as many rounds through as many rifles, pistols, and shotguns as I could in 3 hours. That was expensive but so fun. Good stress reliever.:-) 😉

Sweet, I try to do as much shooting as possible. Usually 3-4 hrs every other weekend, but then I have a range set up at the house as well as a nice stretch of river bottom on a 90 acre hunt lease adjoining me on the North.

First game of Soccer season tomorrow. Never played myself but I'm in my 5th or 6th year of coaching my son's team. AYSO is the organization.

Then... come home and rest. Organizing 15 kids to give them all a chance to play every position and making sure there is a balance in the offense / defense and making sure that no one is out for more than two quarters during the season and making sure...

Its fun but hard work. By the end of the season the kids start connecting and playing much better. Just when we hit our stride, the season end.

all to get ready for my daughter's wedding on tuesday.

everyone else is working so it's up to me to gitter dun.

nothing like being a busy but broke dad!

fyi...weddings ain't cheap.

edit: i could probably stand to fire off a few rounds myself when things settle down.

Hopefully my oldest grandson next weekend. And his sister, my second oldest granddaughter.

Tie. Final score 3 to 3. Teams are set up VERY competitively this year. Son made a goal when he was on offense but was scored on when he was keeper. Not all his fault since someone on his own team passed it to him within the goalie box. Oh well, everyone left smiling.

Handyman,

That's pretty cool. My wife and I help run the AYSO region here in Brighton,TN. She is the regional commissioner, and I am the Safety Director, and assistant Referee Administrator. We also both referee, and we both used to coach.

AYSO is a great program.

Saturday's down.
after dark tonight, I showed her- Youngest File- how to clear, disassemble and assemble an AR platform weapon. Once slow and she learned all the parts and the operational theory of the gas recoil system. then once at speed. She did it 3 times after that and had it down pretty well. buggered up her nail polish removing the firing pin retaining pin.

After that we watched RED w/ Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman.

her quote. "You know mom's gone, when we're taking apart weapons and watching people blow up".

Part of the reason we watched RED was because last night, she'd been over at her sisters and had seen the episode of "Mythbusters" trying to detonate the RPG per the movie scene. That was an interesting discussion of shaped charges, arming distances, and such. (She wants to go to a third world country, contact an arms dealer and fire an RPG- I told her we'd have to think about that one.)
