When I am on the back porch and the Gulf of Mexico winds are gusting from the southwest like it is doing now, it is always a foreboding sign that somewhere it is going to meet cold air and somewhere up North to produce tornadoes. Usually,in Mississippi or Alabama and maybe Tennessee.
Really do not need any storms to devastate someone's Christmas.

There is a large dark cloud that ranges from the Red River to Corsicana headed East and it has rained most of the day with the sun showing up from 2:30pm to 3pm.
Funny you should mention tornados. Last night on the radio they mention the possibility of severe weather tonight that might be conducive.
I don't think that is going to happen but we have been under a flood watch pretty much all day and on through tomorrow morning.
Unfortunately it won't be cold enough for snow. I'll take snow over chilly rain any time!

What a mess! I got folks flying to see my son (in the US Air Force) stationed at Maxwell Gunter, near Montgomery, flying right over that crap tonight from Charlotte. Not looking real nice.

Switch from the Tulsa-Inola to Wichita to KC to Springfield radar screens depending on the projected direction of incoming developments. All that color your link is showing in Iowa is what is supposed to pissmeoff tomorrow.
