Being one that has always felt our intellect has all but removed us from our primordial cyclic union with Mother Nature; I am in awe of The Fox.

If you watch, pay attention from about 1:48 to 1:58 about what this fella is telling us.

Hijack

See you're in the eye of the snow blob on wunderground.com. How much of that white stuff do you have so far?

WX report

Not much snow, only a trace right now. But it's been sleeting since 6AM. There's a 1/2" of crusty-crunchy all over everything. I was just watching the local news and it looks like the western part of the State is getting a couple of inches of snow. We'll see if it makes it here.

No telling how much (or what) we'll get by the time this mess passes on. It's 25 degrees here now. Looks like it might make your part of the world by this evening...
might want to move the "girls" closer to the house and give them some extra hay, if you haven't already.

WX report

Heading out in a few minutes to entertain the "girls" and the "guys" with their treats for the day. Our forecast show zero chance of precipitation from today thru Thursday. Currently 17 with windchill of 7.

BTW, the demonfromhell that put a dent in my knee on Tuesday sold yesterday for over $1100. I would have had to eat a heck of a lot of steaks and such from him to cover that $1100 plus processing fees plus electricity to the freezer for several months. The group he sold with averaged 688 lbs. at $163.50 per cwt.

congrats..

He's somebody else's headache now!

I also prefer making deposits in the bank to eating good steaks...usually.
It is hard to pass up a medium-rare rib-eye however.

If the fox is using magnetic north to catch a mouse 3 feet away, he is better with a compass than I. :'(

Personally, I think the theory is full of holes. Watch the fox turn his head and adjust his ears as he zeros in on his snack. I don't think he's using those ears to "hear" North..

What that remarkable creature has conveyed to me in terms of thought is:

"When these pestilent guttersnipe homo sapiens finally obliterate themselves I can live in peace."
