I've been using this little gadget for over a year now to connect my TSC2 to a RTN with no trouble whatsoever. I last used it on Wednesday the 3rd. Since it was going to be a long weekend, I did not put it on the charger.
This morning I came in, pushed the MiFi's on button to see how many bars of juice I had left, and noticed none of the usual graphics on the display came on, i.e. it's just blank. The LED light stays a steady green. No amount of button pushing will turn the device off, but pulling the battery will, of course.
Doing the 'push-a-paper-clip-in-the-reset-hole' dance does nothing. Before I suss out my next step, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask around here. Anyone ever have this happen? Any suggestions? So far, my Google Fu hasn't given me any answers.
Thanks.

Sounds like you need a new battery... :'(
You should leave it on the charger when you're not going to use it.
Anything with a battery charger will be happier if left on the charger whenever possible. Phones, radios, etc. Chargers use power, but not much. But every time a batt is discharged/recharged, it takes a little off both the charge it can take, and the discharge it can take.
Evidently, this battery was to the point where it couldn't recover from a big discharge. There might be the off chance that you grew some corrosion over the weekend that a pencil eraser can remove, but I doubt it...
Thanks for the reply.:good: Just wondering, though. Wouldn't the unit show signs of life when plugged in, even if the battery was toast? And, though I said I turned it on this morning to see how full the battery was, I'm pretty sure it had at least two out of four bars left on the battery indicator last Wednesday.
My IT guy just dropped by and he's going to look it over. Wish me luck. 🙂
Interesting moniker you've got there, BTW.
Yep, it's a brick.
Got a replacement today, a 4620LE. Charging her up. B-)
