There's been quite a bit of damage in southern Dallas County. Once it moved east of Dallas County, there were probably 7-8 other tornadoes spotted.

Here in northeast Dallas County, we were told to get away from the windows as there was a report of a possible tornado a few miles down the road, but we never saw it or sustained any damage.

Yeah, over here in "Not Dallas" (also known as Fort Worth), my office and home were between two tornadic storms, so we lucked out too. Got a picture of one from my office window on the 6th floor, but too much rain to make it out.

I've heard today that about 12-13 tornadoes were confirmed as touching down. I may be wrong, but I want to say that approx. 140 homes were destroyed.

Those rain wrapped twisters make me more nervous. We had one 15 miles West of us last year. A co-worker of my my lady was hit with one at night. Took down his barn (man cave), with him in it. They had no warning, and couldn't see it until it was on them. No one was hurt, but no more man cave. It was a wake up call for us, and we had a Storm Shelter put in a few weeks later. We ordered it the following day, but so was everyone else..lol
