I wanted to thank everyone for the responses. We now have more than we can do during our visit. We will definitely visit El Charro Cafe.
Some of it will have to wait until the next trip.

Tucson-You're Welcome ?

Let us know how you like it there!!

Love going down there during this time of the year. All of the Cacti flowers are blooming or getting ready to bloom; weather is hot but not an oven; stars shine brightly at night. Ahhh to be home again...

Here's a photo of my mini cacti plant I had in Tucson...

Yes the desert can be quite beautiful.
In 1973 I was working on a BLM survey crew on a project in the Mojave staying in Twentynine Palms, CA. I will never forget heading out to work one morning after an overnight rain and seeing the desert in bloom. I mean as far as one could see there were flowers, particularly some kind of small orchids. They lasted a day or two and that was it.

Indeed. I miss those days of the Tucson desert in bloom. I've always been a "Desert Rat" so to speak. I prefer swimming/jet skiing in warm desert rivers, lakes, etc... in 100º+ heat any day than being in ANY kinda snow. 😉
