Wife has to go to Oklahoma City and heard the weather is bad this morn...wanted me to look at the traffic cams. Suprised me that Oklahoma doesn't have any. Livin' up by the big lakes I can look at ours and sometimes see which is the best direction to head. I see though that all of the ones they have in Atlanta are out of service this AM. There is quite the "Parkin' lot" on Rt 30 in Arkansas this morn, big rigs for a long way...Can't get much from the regular weather report for OK City, looks to be sunny the rest of the week though.
It appears to me that Oklahoma City does indeed have traffic cameras:
It is snowing right now but the roads are still clear.
Thank very much for the link John, very nice set up it looks like...I just peeked at it for a minute just to get an idea of downtown. Wife has heard through her office in Dallas that the weather was startin' to suck, and she has to travel there in the AM. The site I have used most is called Trafficland, and there are quite a few places it doesn't cover. Looks like the one you sent for OKC has cameras under bridges so the weather doesn't nail them.
Is she driving from Dallas to OKC? I have inlaws from Ardmore, OK who said it was pretty bad there last night.
At a glance, I like that camera setup better than the Maryland setup. Glad I found the link.
Thanks for the info Blake... No just her office is in Dallas, we live in upstate NY and she travels for work sometimes, usually she trains from home online. Lately she has been drivin' if it is within 12 hours, the airlines are so messed up that she can drive faster. She really hates to train on the west coast all week and then get stuck in an airport.
