I have been drinking coffee (1 cup, but a big-un) and posting here and sending emails about map orientation and missing tie information to different folks. Been on my butt for 3 hours now.

It's almost 9 AM ... I guess it's the rain. It has that laid back quality that makes me just slow down some. I guess that's a good thing

It's 11 here and I'm fighting the same apathy you are on the left coast. I feel ya.

That describes me today (except for the coffee). 10,000 things to do and all of my get-up-and-go has got-up-and-went.

My Get-Up-And-Go Has Got Up and Went
(Pete Seegar sang but credited an anonymous newspaperman)

Old age is golden, or so I’ve heard said,
But sometimes I wonder, as I crawl into bed,
With my ears in a drawer, my teeth in a cup,
My eyes on the table until I wake up.

As sleep dims my vision, I say to myself:
Is there anything else I should lay on the shelf?
But, though nations are warring, and Congress is vexed,
We’ll still stick around to see what happens next!

How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get-up-and-go has got up and went!
But, in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
And think of the places my getup has been!

When I was young, my slippers were red;
I could kick up my heels right over my head.
When I was older my slippers were blue,
But still I could dance the whole night through.

Now I am older, my slippers are black.
I huff to the store and puff my way back.
But never you laugh; I don’t mind at all:
I’d rather be huffing than not puff at all!

How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get-up-and-go has got up and went!
But, in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
And think of the places my getup has been!

I get up each morning and dust off my wits,
Open the paper, and read the Obits.
If I’m not there, I know I’m not dead,
So I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed!

How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get-up-and-go has got up and went!
But, in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
And think of the places my getup has been!

It's also known as this horrible disease called "Dragon Ass" (which I suffer from on occasion.) 😛

Just back from a week in Tampa running full tilt boogie, have calls backed up for work, but have declared the day off, first one in 9 days.

Tomorrow is honeydo day, have a list as long as my arm but wifey knows I need a day of just slacking, so I got a one day reprieve.

Was a late start for me today.

The predicted rain did not happen, just alot of thunder thru the night.

When all that headed down the bayou to south Louisiana this morn it left murky fog and I could not see outside my yard until about 9am.

Passed a one vehicle accident that had left the highway at a 45deg curve atop a hill. I would say that he was following the yellow stripe with his headlights and was going too fast to adapt when it curved that much. The guy was alive and badly bruised as he rolled his SUV a few times when over correcting as he left the highway.

Got to the job site and shot in 1400ft of offsets for a new electric tie line. Left the crew to brush and flag the centerline for clearing to 50ft row.

Before the end of the day will have plan sheet at their office, looking for PO # now.

So are Wendell and I. I'm also addicted to the spring rolls with fish dippy do sauce. I don't like much fish but I love that sauce! Go figure. 🙂

Sometimes it's better not to know what goes into the things we eat........

Yea...yea... I saw that episode before but ya know think about it we eat eggs and those come out of a chickens uterus!! The fish sauce we use/eat is like a lighter color. It is probably still made the same way but damn it IS good!! Plus it is good for you!

I try not to think of what's in it when I eat it but some things, well, I can't eat regardless. Like those sausages Deral was talking about. YECK!!! :-S
