Can the usb port on a TOPCON GB-500 receiver be used to fire up the base using a data collector?
I know I can use a 9 pin serial cable plugged into port A, using my old ranger...
BUT! My new DC only has a mini usb port or bluetooth connection available.
Has anyone done this?
Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately, no. There are no usb drivers written for Windows Mobile. A bluetooth adapter for the GB-500 is probably your only route.

I hate to hear that! A bluetooth adapter for the serial cable is the option my Equip. Rep. is currently inventing....
