Here's a good story that lifted my spirits this afternoon.?ÿ It's a good read, possibly with a side order of embellishment.?ÿ And I don't say that to detract from the warden's accomplishment.?ÿ The danger to life and limb was real.?ÿ And I've waded through frozen swamps myself; not a small feat by any means.?ÿ I guess it was the description of crossing the chest high barbed-wire fence that I thought was a little dramatic.?ÿ
Hell, I'm almost 3 times that warden's age and I can still wrangle myself over a barbed wire fence, cold and soaking wet...with equipment.?ÿ ;)?ÿ

Yep.?ÿ As I recall, it's not the fence that gets you.?ÿ It's those dammed locked gates that you can't handle in an upright position.

The young warden is a true hero in this situation.?ÿ Only a small percentage of US citizens could go through what he did and come out in good condition.
