Penn State has worked very hard, year after year, to not foul up with the NCAA rules.

The following could be much worse, and has little to do with football or sports, but with the weakness of people.

I believe Joe Paterno will resign, not because he is guilty of anything, but because he has lost faith in those he worked with.

''Say It Ain't So, Joe''

This almost 90 year old quote seems to be appropos. Will this be as bad as the Black Sox scandal?

''Say It Ain't So, Joe''

Paul, sorry to read this disgusting report. As I'm sure you are. Who knows where it will take things for both Coach Joe, and the storied football program he helped build, and the college that did it. No doubt some heads will roll.

Since they let the main perp out (for whatever reason unknown to me), perhaps he'll go find himself a nice corner to off himself after Joe and a few others resign.

Sad, really sickly sad. Makes you wonder about a lot of things...

Two Administrators Resign At Penn State

Two top Penn State officials charged with covering up allegations of an explosive child-sex abuse scandal related to former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky stepped down late Sunday after an emergency meeting of the university's Board of Trustees. Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, vice president for finance and business, will step down.

Link to the Grand Jury report:

The two administrators never had contact with the abused youth and may have had no legal obligation to report it. They are charged with lying to the Grand Jury. Ask Barry Bonds how well that goes?

OMG, This is not sexual harassment that we are talkining about but it it sexual abuse of juviniles. Of course, they need to report it. There should not be a chain of command for reporting in this situation. Only resposibility to to do the right thing. There shouldn't be confidiality agreement to protect themselves either.

Everyone should resign from Paterno on down to the locker room attendant.
Totally clean the house. Now.
They worked with thic animal for years ona day to day basis and they thinkied they eere fooled. OMG Then why do you want running running your PSU program.
Itr is strange how the true biil becomes public a week or so after Joe Pa's glory moment of passing Eddie Robinson for most wins . It looks likesomeone did all that they can to protect the legacy. OMG

I gotta go and take my 9 yr old to school.
Think about it.

According to the article, PA law requires anybody to report this kind of activity "to authorities". But it seems everybody from the towel boy to the janitor to the AD to the college president stuck their head in the proverbial sand and looked the other way.

Wait until they find the tie in to Penn State and The Second Mile. No doubt it goes deeper than their pockets. NCAA will have a field day with that one, or at least should.

Look for massive student transfers, perhaps even before Coach Joe resigns. Regardless, their football program is toast for a while. In spite of being a good team.

Aside from these charges being totally repulsive, the entire thing is unfortunate.
