As another year closes and I reflect on those who've crossed my paths I wonder at the mindsets that are dull, closed off, uninspiring and seemingly oblivious to the impossible.
I guess we all come across the "we've never done it that way", or "it's not how we do it here", or "it can't be done".
And as we face situations where change is required, but why, when "we've bucket loads in reserve of the old stuff we've used for over a century", and yet denying the fact that change brings new opportunities, opening new horizons, and as the wilderness of our minds is explored, treasures long hidden until now are brought out into the light of our latest advances and technologies.
Suddenly possibilities become realities.
Recently I had a meeting with some telecommunications bods.
When asked why they couldn't do something the response was they didn't have such an antenna.
Then there was the concession of another type recently devised, but my next question was met with stoney silence.
That was, if they'd done it before (find a solution) then why not again?
I thought more on that. .
The mobile phone wasn't invented, then what do we do with it now?
The car wasn't invented and how are we going to put this to use?
The Expresso machine wasn't made then sat around waiting for a use.
Space explorers manufactured then sat on a shelf gathering dust...... And it goes on....
Opportunities are lost, crushed even, through the actions of thoughtless, selfish, unimpressive people content with their status quo or self ego and the world is poorer for it.
My desires for 2016 are topped by revolutionary ideas running their full term, being fruitful and making the world a safer, healthier place to enjoy.
Merry Christmas America and a fulfilling new year.

Very true. All the best in your endeavors and may your dreams never die too young.
You sir; are an inspiration to us all.
Well, most of us anyway....
I hope everyone has happy new year; I know I will!
