My survey chariot blew a radiator. It knocked the truck out for a week.?ÿ put a new one in it. Then, I discovered the overflow bottle had a crack in it. Another delay. So, here it is now:
?ÿ
If it can handle the heat, I'm staying with it.
My wife says I'm "nursing it along".

Is the bungee cord OEM??ÿ ?????ÿ
Somewhere there is a thirsty calf looking at Nate's vehicle with desire in its heart.

It has a wire holding it in place. The bungie was temporary, to get it wired in. I hope this works long term. I'm frustrated with bad engineering, on modern automobiles.

I'm convinced there is a think tank somewhere that designs "gotchas" in the newer cars and trucks.?ÿ There is at least one bolt on every car that either requires Houdini...or some minor structural disassembly to get at it.?ÿ
Someone actually planned a small sharp edge on some sheet metal to be strategically placed so when the 9/16" wrench (that I was attempting to use on a 14mm bolt) slips, I slice my hand open.?ÿ It's a conspiracy to keep Okies like me from even popping the hood.
You have voided the vehicle's warranty.
I'm guessing that the new car warranty hasn't been in play for at least a decade.?ÿ
What is this new car warranty of which you speak??ÿ I might have had one of those back in 1976.?ÿ Never again.
Speaking of conspiracies. I seem to recall a situation when GM was dicovered to have been intentionally designing cars to fail.
Certain major components we designed to fail at certain mileages. C.V. joints, transmissions, etc. They figured out that more money could be made making repairs and parts than the profit on a new car would be.?ÿ

I love vintage autos, but modern vehicles are far superior in nearly every respect. They are more dependable, efficient and safe. There are even some that look good.?ÿ
