I went deaf in one ear in about 3 hours maybe 10 years ago. I didn't tell the wife which ear it was for a good two years or so. "Sorry honey I never heard you tell me to do that, when did you say we had to go to the in laws?" It really worked great until she finally caught on. Hoo boy, pay back was a true b_____.

I actually did that about 40 years ago. She wasn't dressed for going outside.
The weather was NOT a factor.
It wasn't as mean as it might sound. She tried it on me first. I wasn't dressed for outside either.
