I recently downloaded an amazing new app for my iPad called "Write and Say." It can read your written text aloud in any one of several different voices. It can also translate the text to 28 different languages and read the translation as well. You can imagine what an asset this would be for traveling.

So, I've tested it by translating text to another language and then back to English. From Spanish, the re-translation was almost perfect. Chinese lost a little, not much, in translation; the most significant difference being my signature “Don” which came back as “Tang Dynasty.”

I know some of you speak Spanish. Here’s a direct translation of my post cut and pasted from the app.

Don

Aka “Tang Dynasty”
You can call me Tang 🙂

Sure hope your first name isn't "Poon".

I find it somewhat disturbing that livestock would concern themselves with such matters. As it happens, my uncle's name was Poon, but he married into the Tangs.
