Don't forget to pick 'em UP!!!
This has been one of the hardest weeks to pick this season... And it's gonna be a make or break for me!! Meaning, I'll either get back into the hunt, or be relegated to the bottom... I was in the lead for 2 weeks, and then made some BAD pick whilst others had MONSTER weeks...
watch out carl, i'm still trying to stay in front, good picks to you
I went for broke the second weekend and crawled away with 19pts, mostly lost by as field goal and one blowout.
What can I expect when it takes me 5mins on a Tuesday afternoon to make my pics.
B-)
This year I'm basing my picks on the traditional educational idea that the "C is a gentleman's grade". Not at the bottom of the pack, yet not so near the top as to draw unseemly attention to oneself.
The able-bodied C man! He sails swimmingly along.
His philosophy is rosy as a skylark's matin' song.
The light of his ambition is respectably to pass,
And to hold a firm position in the middle of his class.

Or I could just suck 😛
Rock 'em, Sock 'em
That's the fun of college ball..tends to be unpredictable.
I-State v O-State in Stillwater. Iowa's opening drive just went 75 yards in 9 plays and took 2:43 off the clock for a score.
Them 'pokes better feed the Defense better oats...
lotsa game left..
Silly me..
I put points on Bo Pelini's bunch...sigh..

I'm a bit of a Husker fan, and I picked NW'rn... Looks like I may have pick that one right.
I sure wish I had not missed that one week. I did pretty good with 54 out of 55 points this weekend. I had TAMU over LSU but had that as a 2 pointer. I knew it would be a hard fought game but thought that perhaps LSU was ripe for an upset. It turned out to be a pretty good game and I'm glad to see TAMU competitive in the SEC.
Just glad my Pokes came alive and the freshman QB had a great game. With Lunt out (starting QB) for this game then most predicted a OSU loss. My Pokes also had two starting receivers missing but didn't miss a beat and even the D was a lot better. Iowa St has a pretty solid defense so it was a quality win for us. We needed it as the road ahead is mighty tough indeed.
I like K-State at this point to win the Big 12 and perhaps even to go undefeated and play for the NC.
LSU has been over rated this whole season.
Offense is very vanilla and the run game is by committee
Pasing game is very dubious.
Defense has a lot of holes and young players but because of a few solid all american players, the pundits over rate the team.
like, Eric Reid, the JR safety, not only could he be starting in the NFL today but he looks like a NFL pro-bowler. He looks a lot better that Morris Claiborne (Dallas 1st round PICK 6th overall) and Patrick Peterson (Cards 1st round pick, 5th overall)
The QB has been hurtng them once again. If it gets worse, they may have to put in the freashmen 6' 7" Steven Rivers. He is the younger brother of Philip Rivers of the SD Chargers. Next few weeks in thew SEC should sort things out. Looks like LSU has been looking ahead all year to the rematch with Bama this season.
KSU looks good.
I think the pollsters would like to see a non-SEC title game in this millenium for a change. 🙂
If they want a NON SEC game then it's up to the others (non SEC) to step up things and make it happen. I know a lot were bitter last year with a rematch game for the NC but it would not have happened if OSU had won over ISU, so it's not the fault of the SEC.
I think K-State stands the best chance and I think they are now #3 in the BCS with a lot of quality games left to play. They have the road if they don't run off into the ditch along the way. They are a very disciplined team and I think they will stay the course. That's not to say they will go undefeated but the ball is in their court.
ND has a good shot at things as well, but they have some key games left to play. They have one of the best teams they have had in several years and look pretty solid all around.
I'd say that LSU offense is it's weak link but if your defense is stout then you still are in position to win a lot of games. Like the TAMU game.
And the kid that played for Okie State (QB) is out the rest of the year with a knee injury. I hope our start Lunt is ready next weekend. He is the better passer and more like Weedon. Time will tell.
