The Sunday Kansas City Star has a feature each week relating how some couple living in the KC area met and married. Apparently, this is a rather popular feature. Sam Depriest, a licensed land surveyor working for an engineering firm, and his wife were the subjects two weeks ago.

she was an young engineering assistant on a large sewer rehab project that he was the lead surveyor on. one day her boss ask her to call the surveyor and verify a pipe elevation. she called and told him she needed him to check her invert. the rest, as they say, is history.
