Going simple but tasty this year.

1 lb of Jimmy Deans hot sausage cooked up and crumbled into chunks.

2 lbs Velveeta cheese in the crock pot along with two cans of hot rotel.

Mix in the sausage and let simmer..

Serve with chips and fresh sliced peppers.

A bowl of ranch dressing for those that want to also dip there chips/cheese mix to provide a dual taste sensation. It's actually very tasty this way.

What's on your plate?

Well... as I said on the phone shortly ago....
I made a huge mistake in not getting stuff for my Rotelle cheese dip.

Guess I'll make do with my ribeye that has been marinating in teryaki since yesterday and probably do a big baked tater that I'll slather with some cheese and bacon bits.

We don't know yet what we're going to have for game food. We were supposed to go to some friends' house for a party that we've gone to the last few years but they canceled it Friday, or so they told us...Should probably drive by and see how many cars are there later. Ha.

Here's our semi-healthy Super Bowl breakfast, though:

Egg McBread

2 slices Light whole wheat bread
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
1 poached egg
1 slice reduced fat provalone cheese
1 thin slice black forest ham

grilled butter side out on electric frying pan. Serve and enjoy.

BigE...sorta the same here. Still have 5 2" tenderloins left. Although only one of will have one, I am prepared to make Broiled Trout with fresh honey (courtesy of local Bee Hives) crushed almonds and broil 12 minutes.

I have heard of a few folks still going for the Dorito's and dip with a side of beer!

Hmmm, probably some fresh pineapple, hibachi chicken, fresh pineapple, spicy pork, fresh pineapple, Kalbi beef, fresh pineapple, a side of fried rice and, of course, some fresh pineapple. We'll be watching the Super Bowl at ... oh wait ... we'll just be watching the Pacific Ocean while relaxing on the beach.

Sounds like your alone with only 1 lb. there unless it's BYO and you hope for the best....just me and the dog for this party, so I got extra dog cookies.. I started with peperoni and swiss cheese while I thawed some old shrimp that needed eatin, and around here we have Rollers horseradish cocktail sauce, if you know , you know!!! Then I put some local sauerkraut and some beef sausage in a big ole pot to simmer, in the mean time I will avoid the talking heads on the pre game by lookin' here for other recipes!!!
