Well, of course we can't keep it. We'll just give it something to eat, and look for a home for it.....
I know how to wake him up! ?????ÿ
This one (above) adopted me... she's only a little spoiled lol. Picking her up at the vet from getting spayed in a couple hours.
My better half has an affection for cats and we've had a few over the years.?ÿ After her last cat passed away we eventually wound up with 4 Australian Shepherds.?ÿ Now we've always had good luck with our dogs and cats getting along.?ÿ But I'm pretty sure a pack of four crazy Aussies would, at a minimum, traumatize a kitten.?ÿ
The worst case scenario could be a distinct possibility though.?ÿ I have watched cats walk the back fence above my dogs. The dogs have learned where the "loose spot" of the fence is at.?ÿ They wait for the cat to approach that panel and then they hit it as hard as they can.?ÿ At least two have inadvertently fallen into the "pit of hell".?ÿ While both cats barely survived I don't think they want to try another encounter.
Needless to say we've held off on trying to put a kitty cat into the mix.?ÿ I've voiced a couple of possibilities.?ÿ One is to just put a saucer of milk on the front porch and "adopt" any of the feral cats that prowl the 'hood.?ÿ But they would have to be enjoyed outdoors and away from the dogs.
The alternative might be to get two cats (a larger reckoning force), not too young and with full-claw capabilities.?ÿ Possibly after a week or two inside the house they might call a truce.?ÿ The vet bills might not be too high.?ÿ If we pick that alternative I suggest we clean off all the high bookcase shelves and cabinets as that's where the cats would surely wind up. 😉
