Strange Drawing Behavior

I am working on a large construction layout project. I have the CAD file from the engineer.

It looks like the drawing was probably created in Civil 3D, but I am not sure.

It has been giving me trouble from day one. First, it appears that the UCS is all messed up. If I import the points, the symbols come in in different places from the point descriptors.

Second, when I try to drag the point descriptors out to create a leader so I can see the point number and description, the base point is way off from where the symbols are.

Third, when I try to create a point plot, my points will not print, and neither will the actual drain lines or structures.

I have had some drawings act weird, but this one has me puzzled.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Jimmy

Have you tried resetting your UCS to world? What platform are you using?

I will double check, but I believe I tried that. I am using Carlson Survey 2008 with embedded Autocad.

I will try that again when I get back to the office.

Thanks

Open a FRESH drawing. Then, INSERT the drawing into your fresh one. This will keep YOUR settings, with HIS data.
