John Stahl came for a seminar last week, and because I suffered a modem breakdown I have been unable to post any news or pictures of his visit.
John arrived on Cape Cod Wednesday night just in time for dinner; Well after I changed the tire I flattened just prior to his buses arrival.
Thursday was an off day. John stayed to work on his presentation while I did some GPS work and teased him with a picture of my 2 hour occupation site.
Where I was!
We took John for a little ride to pin a foundation and show him a fee of the sites in Chatham before coming home for dinner. We made a clambake for John, hoping to fuel him through the next day at the seminar.
Dinner!
After dinner! (We helped a little bit)
Friday was seminar day and I neglected to take pictures. It was attended by 50 land surveyors and sure made a few stop and think about the profession! I received many positive comments about John's presentation including one that thought it should be a 2 day event.
Saturday we started with breakfast with spledeus (thanks Thadd) and then we headed to Provincetown to see how the other halves live 😉
Left to right, me, John Stahl, and spledeus.
Sunday we left early for Boston, took a tour of the Maparium and then lunch at Quincy Market.
Thanks for coming John, I hope it was enjoyable!! I enjoyed myself having a few days "off" from the normal!

I don't see any Bloody Marys in the last photo...what gives?
B-)

As you found out, spending time with John there are two things that are going to happen: 1) a very enjoyable time will be had by all, and 2) he will make you think.
For those of us that are blessed enough to live out west - he will be in Pocatello in March for 2 days, presenting to the ISPLS.
ummmmm- It's breakfast!?!?!?!:-/
I didn't know that spledeus was buying!
