I've got one some where, but it does tend to slide around. I've been getting it almost pushed lately, and that's ok. I just do my best to keep it balanced.
But jeez oh pete, why in the heck do people you're trying to help keep pushing that chip off your shoulder. I'm just me and us Griffins are a pretty stubborn bunch, AND I can only do so much. Even wheel barrows get flat tires.
Trying not to snap before it breaks, so I thought I'd dump on my brethren here. No doubt many have worn those shoes and walked that path looking for the lost chip. Mine isn't lost, but holy moley, I need to double down on something.
Vent off. Thanks
I seem to have lost mine. A normally decent fellow went off on a guy today and I stepped in and redirected his animosity. It was not pretty. If necessary, I'll do it again. I tolerate bullies just about as well as I tolerate idiots. Not at all.
This seems to be the day for it. I made a friend so mad today he may not forgive me.
We had been discussing by email all the things that can be learned about a person from big data bases. E.g., a recent study that showed knowing which two stores someone had bought things at on a given day was enough to pick out their credit card number from a supposedly "anonomized" list of transactions and find out what else they had bought on other days.
As a demonstration of how much information is out there without even going to privately collected lists, I googled him and listed all the information I could quickly gather, including looking up his house on the assessor's web site (public data). My point was that we don't know who has researched us, but anyone can find a lot of data laying around in the open.
It must have come as a shock to him. He says he feels violated and I'm no longer welcome at his house.
How much of a bad guy am I? Is there a rule that friends don't google friends?
> How much of a bad guy am I?
you're not..
Guess he was just shocked as to how much 'dirty laundry' one can glean from a quick Google search. I bet he'll get over it.
Being publicly visible is definitely something to which we all are going to have to become accustomed.
BTW - Your car tag's almost expired.....;-)
And I didn't even find any dirty laundry-nothing that he doesn't tell acquaintances (e.g., former occupation, cities of residence, and political leaning) or could be reasonably estimated (e.g., age and price of his house).
>BTW - Your car tag's almost expired..
Good reply 😀
Anyone who cares to register on this site can find my email address and zip code, and track me down. (I note that this thread does require logging in.) I've got a web site that probably tells too much about me. From various things said on this forum, I think I could drive to the Bovine's residence, but haven't researched his name, and probably know Mr. Cash's official name but haven't researched his residence.
There's a lot of data out there. It does take putting together in some cases, though.
It's quite simple. Drive through town until you come to the last traffic light, then turn left (or is it right).
BTW, I've always enjoyed directions with faulty guidance such as that. When do you decide you have come to the last traffic light? I know a stretch of Northwest Arkansas where that might be 30 miles from where you started.
Thanks pals.
Just a very very long week plus. Still hanging in, the chip is balanced, and the vacation is not soon enough. That may in fact un-balance their sacred chips, but..... hey at the end of the day I'm just a mere male....:-)
I wish I had an idea of wtf you were posting about.
sensitivity chip?
With all due respect Robert, one can only assume that you've been told by the women in your life that you are not totally in synch with their mood swings. Try and help, and that sometimes is not enough. So the more you try the worse things get.
AKA - insensitive. AKA v.2 - mind reading AKA v.3 - WTF AKA v.4 - unbalanced sensitivity chip
Pretty simple actually.
never saw a reference to a domestic situation and Cow was a bully vigilante and Bill had a cyber fall out with a cyber friend over privacy issues.
I know that when skies darken to have an umbrella nd a pair of old shoes at the ready.
Good luck with whatever..I guess.
