Way back in 1984 my wife and I had been on a three-day business trip to Washington, D.C.?ÿ We had left the kids with a local family for the entire stretch.?ÿ This was the era where movies were being put on what appeared to be stereo records.?ÿ That family had one of the players for such records.?ÿ As we walked in the door to pick up the young ones we saw on their TV the scene where the Creature from the Black Lagoon emerges in the bathtub with the lady.?ÿ As you can tell, that unexpected site was burned into my memory banks.
