A recent joint study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Motor Vehicles indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related.

This means that the remaining 77% are caused by numbskulls that just drink coffee, carbonated drinks, juices, yogurts, and crap like that.

Therefore, beware of those who do not drink alcohol. They cause three times as many accidents.

Not to mention - texting, talking on phone, putting on makeup. I've also seen people with books and newspapers on the steering wheel and one time saw someone balancing their checkbook (in more ways than one). Then there's the time I just missed having a head-on with a guy who had his map open up in front of him. There's idiot's aplenty out there.

There's a reason while they call them "accidents". Nobody gets into their car, starts it up and thinks, OK, now I'm gonna have an accident.

However, In my opinion, a collision caused by a motorist who has been drinking is not an accident.....it is an assault, and should be classified as such.

Keep in mind that of that 23%, a large percentage of them would most likely have not occurred had the driver not been drinking.

Lighten up dude. I know it is hard for you to tell because you don't have a sense of humor, but it was a joke.

Sorry if it sounded humorless.

Folks who have had experience with drunk drivers have a hard time "lightening up".
