I've been by this sign many time and never noticed the qualifier to the safety record. A high school friend earned his glider license at 16 and was kind enough to give me a ride at a glider meet at this airfield. I though he would get a kick out of honesty.

AOPA claims you can reduce your chances of a forced landing by 50% simply by ensuring the airplane has adequate fuel and oil for the flight.
That is a hefty and well done edit, what with the large power pole and the diagonal guy anchor AND the hidden letters and logo on the banner behind the pole!
