yep

And they'll either be able to say they were successful in saving time and money switching to their new and improved idea, or just fall on the sword they wielded for their egoism and also move on down the road.....

FWIW, I've had a few leave my services that said I was too expensive. They said that "hosting" shouldn't cost that much. The part they don't seem to realize, despite my explanations, is that I'm not just hosting their website -- it's the ongoing maintenance with security updates, troubleshooting software updates, maintaining uptime, filtering out spammers, protecting from malware, backups that are stored remotely, etc. All of that equates to time, which is where the higher fees come from.

I do realize that many people don't understand how all this works, and that's fine. But if you hired a professional, you are trusting them to know what they are doing... right? Isn't that the point? It's like hiring a surveyor to survey your property and then telling him that you only need him to set a pin -- don't need any of that other fancy stuff like research, locating nearby monuments, evaluating and calculating corner positions, staking them out, etc.
