I got #11 from knowledge. 9, 12, & 14 i guessed correctly.
Got 5 of them. Am surprised at that many, as I don't follow the entertainment scene.
I liked Bryson's Nearly Everything book, so that accounted for one.
I got #4, 9 and 12. 9 was an educated guess. Clueless about the rest of them.
The Time Machine one made me think of something I heard years ago, although I have never been able to verify it. There was a MLB pitcher in the 60s and 70s named Bill Lee. His nickname was "Spaceman" for good reason. The story goes that a reporter asked him "Bill, what do you think of the proposal regarding mandatory drug testing in Major League Baseball?" He answered "Well, I have tested a lot of drugs in my day, but I don't think it should be mandatory."
I got 8, 10, 11, 13*, 14. Absolutely no clue for the rest.
* I, until today, thought it was the first one. ?????ÿ
Got 2 and 14.?ÿ Guessed correctly on 6 and 10.?ÿ Most of the others were in categories I don't/didn't follow much.?ÿ The one about approving of the funeral was familiar, but not enough to guess correctly.?ÿ W.C. Fields would have said something similar.
Fred and Wilma in the same bed really stirred up some people.?ÿ Reminded me of the story about the comic strip Beetle Bailey when Miss Buxley was wearing an outfit that revealed her navel.?ÿ The censors insisted it be erased before they would allow the strip to appear in the papers.
