My parents called me yesterday to say they survived the storm very, very well except they lost power. My brother sent me a note telling us (me and my nephews) that the electric is now on. Internet/TV/phone came on for a bit then went back out.
Honestly, I'm shocked (in a good way) that power is coming back to at least some places so fast. I hope the southern parts of FL come back to life quickly (while not forgetting about TX of course!)

It might take Houston a little longer to get the lights back on..somebody has already swiped all the copper off the poles. 😉
