I was cleaning out the Portable Kitchen tm grill to cook on tonight and noticed that after 47 +- years, it has burned holes in the side. My parents bought this grill in about 1963. This is a cast aluminum cooker that has been used weekly for most of these years. I have replaced the grates once, and the fire grate which was cast iron once. It was needing a new fire grate, but now it looks like it is time to buy a new grill. Here is a link to the current model of the grill. http://www.bbqsinc.com/p/portable-kitchen-portable-kitchen-grill-and-smoker-grill?utm_source=Google_AdWords&utm_medium=Keywords&utm_term=www.bbqsinc.com&utm_campaign=13531536__Portable+Kitchen+Grill
When I replace it, I may go with a Big Green Egg. I also have a Goodone "Open Range" smoker that I use some and will start using all the time now, until the Portable Kitchen is replaced. Here is a link to the Open Range.

Wow, that looks like a really nice grill and it has awesome reviews. I will be considering that one for my next grill purchase!
I like my basic Weber kettle-style grill, but they don't make them like they used to. I have the "gold" edition which has a detachable ash pot that is supposed to make it easy to clean. However, after a few uses, the pot gets harder to take out and now I have to smack it with a hammer to break it loose. But for $100 every 3 years or so, I guess it's not a bad deal and works great otherwise.
You guys have me hungry now. :pizza:
