> How many people are in your living family?
Now that some of us have answered you, how many are in yours?
Carl,
I thought my family is small. Not so in comparison to yours!

Yep... I'm kind of an island unto myself.

I'll take "identify the point where the thread turned political" for 800, Alex 😉
Smiley face seen and noted.....I sincerely hope that no one mistook my attempt at humor for something more serious and political.

Fair enough Steve, truth is that I do not know, never even seen a pic of my dad, divorce when I was 3 months old, so I don't know about that side. Mama has been gone for 17 years, miss her greatly.
Have a 1/2 sister and a uncle that live a few thousand miles away that I touch base with once a year or so. It's pretty much just me and the wife and my Border Collie.
Having a small family or a large family comes with pros and cons on both sides.
My family tree has many branches.
My mom is 3 of 6, Grandma was 4 of 8, etc. Dad was only child but he had many cousins.
But... compared to my wife my tree is a Charley brown variety.
Her mom was 9 of 9, and she has so many cousins floating around all living in or around the same town its sort of a joke that you have to go to another town to look for a spouse.;-)
Here is Mississippi everyone makes jokes about families in our nieghbooring states to the west of us. I am pretty sure that is why my Aunt and Uncle moved back across the river. They got tired of all the jokes...

We say the same thing in Alabama!
